Walking on eggshells means you've started pre-managing someone else's reaction as a full-time job. Sometimes that's an anxious pattern of yours running on a person who hasn't earned it. Sometimes it's an accurate read of someone whose reactions genuinely are unsafe. It matters enormously which one this is.
Don't dismiss it as 'just my anxiety' without checking. And don't diagnose him without checking either.
Have you ever brought something up and had it go fine? If yes, this may be your fear. If bringing things up has reliably cost you, that's not fear, that's learning โ and it's worth talking to someone outside the relationship about.
