The results
Mostly A’s — You send it and move on. You write it, you send it, you go and live your day. That’s not luck, that’s a nervous system you’ve trained. Keep sending the first version — it’s nearly always the honest one.
Mostly B’s — The eleven-draft rewrite. The rewriting isn’t about tone, it’s about making yourself unrejectable. One rule instead of eleven drafts: if it starts with ‘you always’ or ‘you never’, rewrite it. Everything else, send as written.
Mostly C’s — You never text first. Waiting is only powerful when it’s real. Right now you’re not busy, you’re performing busy, and it costs you the whole week. Fill the days with something you’d have done anyway, then text if you want to.
Mostly D’s — You text about the silence. Here’s the test: if your second text could stand on its own as a message, send it. If it’s a comment on his silence, don’t. The silence is information — don’t hand him the reply to it as well.
