Social behaviour is the lowest-quality evidence about a relationship that exists, and it's the most available, which is a terrible combination. A like is a thumb movement. You are trying to read a relationship in the least informative data you have access to.
Feeling it doesn't make you insecure or controlling. Acting on it as though it were evidence is where it goes wrong.
Ask whether anything in how he treats you has changed. If the answer is no, the feeling is real and the conclusion isn't.
